Have had a lovely day in the garden with the boys. Arlo has been waddling about, shouting at trees. Jake, who has a creative rather than dynamic sprinting style, has been furthering his conviction
The Cast
Charlotte Oliver – ex-Notting Hill-based media bunny. Now stay-at-home mum of two in the depths of Yorkshire. Weakness for pretty things, bed, wine, Heat magazine, long baths preferably combining many of the above…
Rowan – Daddy and gorgeous husband, lecturer, all round good guy, music addict, computer addict, born-again cyclist, also saves planet by infrequent showering, well-intentioned DIY-er, great cook though extravagant style cramped by my constant attempts at frugality (though obviously not where buying pretty things is concerned!), creative time-keeper. Scrummy.
Jake – 4 year old, runs on raisins, presents and Pixar films. Fortunately, accepts televisual bribes for mummy’s afternoon nap (am so much nicer after a nap).
Arlo – 15 months. First word ‘Cheers’ (oops!), scared of Piglet, loves food, drink, having nappy cream applied - general cherubic voluptuary.
Situation – Mummy is trying to recapture her former vivacity by engaging in creative, and hopefully even mildly lucrative, pursuits...
